OBSIDIAN is a speculative fiction podcast based in Afrofuturism by Adetola Abdulkadir and myself.



Driven by a deep, untapped interest in science fiction, we desire to take hold of the narratives nearest to us. Each episode tells a story that sits at the crossroads of Blackness, technology, and science, tackling issues such as surveillance, artificial intelligence, and alternative realities.

For this awards-nominated work, we are a Best Fiction Podcast finalist of FIYAH Literary Magazine’s 2020 Ignyte Award, recipients of the August 2020 Red Bull Arts Baltimore Microgrant and the Robert W.
